Frenchman Loeb started the year with a win on Rally Ireland. Loeb had a 30-second lead over closest rival Mikko Hirvonen as he entered the final day of the World Rally Championship season in Wales having led by five seconds from Ford's Mikko Hirvonen at the end of the first leg of the rally which will decide the World championship.
