Rally drivers too focussed to chat

The one thing that you can be sure a rally driver isn't on when he is driving a rally is a mobile phone. Driving a rally circuit takes a considerable amount of focus and attention. That sort of attention doesn't happen when you are chatting on a phone. On the public highway you are tang your life in your hands if you go on the mobile because safe driving is not distracted driving.

Rally drivers may hurtle their cars around the rally tracks but they do this by having their brains engaged, focused and revving. To have to listen and talk about anything other than the immediate job in hand would not produce the best driving.

So if you got a mobile for Christmas then don't be one of those who uses the mobile while driving. It ain't smart and it ain't rally.
